Why Translation Is Important in Education

Education is all about making sure that students understand concepts well enough to apply them in real life. However, students have to be able to understand what the teacher is saying before any of that can happen. If their native language differs from that of the school, that understanding can be distorted and confusing.

We recently released an ebook detailing the importance of translation in education. Many school districts are faced with the daunting task of serving students and parents with very limited English skills. The faster we can help these families join and actively participate in our communities, the faster we can secure their contribution to our society.

The ebook covers important topics like:

  • The reality of translation in education today
  • Understanding professional translation
  • Engaging parents and addressing family concerns
  • Compliance with legislation
