Quality Assurance
We tailor our processes for each project as needed, tweaking our tested workflow. This ensures that every project—large or small, in any format—passes through the necessary layers of quality assurance checks. Following is our standard translation workflow:

- Project Evaluation: Translation professionals review the source files to analyze and document the nuances of the project. In advance of translation, potential areas of confusion are identified and solutions are applied.
- Resource Evaluation: Depending on the industry and subject matter, we determine which translators, and editors, and desktop publishers are best suited to the project.
- Translation Preparation: We prepare glossaries and files for use with the appropriate computer-aided translation tool (translation memory).
- Translation: Questions, comments, corrections, and clarifications are fielded from the translation team as translation progresses. Consistency across languages is vigilantly maintained by making updates and instructions available to everyone on the translation team.
- Editing: The editor ensures that the target translation is error-free and matches the source. The editor also makes sure that the text is appropriate for the target audience in terms of register and dialect. All changes suggested at this stage are reviewed by the original translator before implementation.
- Desktop Publishing: After the translation has been incorporated into the layout file, the desktop publishing specialist formats the file as needed. The publisher ensures that the appearance matches the source file, which includes checking and adjusting the page flow, fonts, graphic links, language-specific text conventions, and file functionality.
- Final Edit: The editor reviews the final layout, ensuring that all edits were implemented properly.
- Final Review: For a fresh final look, the project manager does an additional page-for-page check. Only when the document is fully approved is it released to the client.
