Just a quick reminder for crossWeb. You shouldn’t actually cut and paste text from anywhere. We are discovering that some people are cutting and pasting text from areas other than the text editor window. This causes huge issues in the output and in the memory. The text editor window is in red in this screen shot:

The correct way to automatically introduce or copy text from the memory or from the source document/column into the editor window is to use the three options shown and described below. Remember you can also turn these options on to handle this function automatically by selecting on the little black arrow to the right of the first two icons.

Alternatively you can just double click on the Translation Memory hit to place the text in the editor.

You can do the same with a concordance match.

If you choose to cut and paste text from other areas of the screen you will introduce HTML characters like half-width spaces that look like this in MS Word. Those characters now have to be manually removed as they do not come up in a search and replace window creating hours of additional work.
